Elon Musk has said that this experiment will be carried out soon in order to implant a chip in the brain, connect it to the computer, and thereby have a direct conversation with the computer.
He said that he is going to implant a brain chip in the human brain and test it among humans.
He further commented,
“I plan to pay for one of those chips myself.
Experiment with monkeys
This test has been successfully conducted in monkeys and will soon be tested in humans.
Through this, what is thought in the mind can be processed by the computer. The necessary documents have been submitted and the US Food and Drug Administration has been requested to approve them for this trial.
My start up Neuralink is doing this. Neuralink will begin human trials in 6 months. This chip is about the size of a small coin.
Activating a Dysfunctional Neuron
Neuralink released a video in 2021 in which a monkey was seen playing online using a chip implanted in its brain. With this chip, humans can regain their lost sight.
Neuralink’s technology is also useful in rehabilitating people who are completely disabled by spinal cord fracture or stroke. Any neuron in the brain that is inactive can be stimulated and made to work with this chip.
If Neuralink’s experiment is successful, the computer could be controlled with the help of a chip. He said that the computer will do the work of thinking in the mind of the person implanted with the chip.
