The book Metamorphosis by Emanuele Coccia, published in France last March for Rivages, is now translated into Brazil by the publisher Dantes. A release scheduled for September 1st and also supported by the Italian Cultural Institute of Rio de Janeiro. To present the publication – whose arrival in Italy, for Einaudi, is scheduled for December 2021 – the Institute of Rio has organized a meeting on its Facebook channel for Friday 14 August, at 5 pm local time (10 pm in Italy). projection of a video interview with Coccia made by Damiano Fedeli. The shots were taken in the Botanical Garden of Rome which, with its plants and waterways, served as an ideal backdrop to address the themes of the book. The event is organized by the Rio Institute in collaboration with «la Lettura» and Cepell, the Center for books and reading of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, of which it participates in the campaign «Beyond the May of books». The interview is preceded by a meeting on the philosopher with the publisher Anna Dantes; Luiz Zerbini, the Brazilian artist who illustrated the volume; the translators from French to Portuguese Madeleine Deschamps and Victoria Mouawad; the anthropologist Els Lagrou and Livia Raponi, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Rio de Janeiro.
