“All these embassies are located in one building, which suffered significant damage as a result of the Russian missile attack,” a ministry spokesman said.
“These are the embassies of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro. There are broken windows, doors, fragments of the ceiling in the premises,” Tihiy said.
“Everywhere in the world, attacks on diplomatic missions are a violation of all possible red lines and general international rules,” said the ministry’s representative.
“And Russia once again proves its status as an absolute barbarian,” Tichy pointed out.
No foreign diplomats were hurt, he added.
In connection with this attack, the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian plenipotentiary in Lisbon.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel said the damage to the embassy deserved a strong diplomatic response.
The President of the European Commission (EC) Urzula von der Leyen expressed her condemnation.
“Another terrible Russian attack on Kyiv,” Leyen said on the “X” platform.
“Putin’s contempt for international law reaches new heights,” the EC president admitted.
