The 26-year-old player, of Cameroonian origins, began his career at Basel, and after six seasons in the German Bundesliga (Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach) he was signed last summer by Monaco, with whom he has scored 12 goals despite still not having had the full confidence of coach Philippe Clement.
