This Thursday, February 1, Emelec played two friendlies to get ready for the start of the 2024 season, they faced an opponent of a weak level, but they overcame them without problems.
The team led by Hernán Torres had two games against Ciudadela del Norte, in both, the bombillo was victorious, and gave minutes to Christian Noboa.
Emelec won the two friendlies 2-0 and 3-1 at the George Capwell stadium, which was not open to the public nor did it allow cameras to enter to record the match.

The match was the first match that the 38-year-old midfielder was able to play wearing the blue shirt, after not having been able to be in the last match.
This was Bombillo’s second friendly series, after they tied 1-1 and Emelec beat Delfín 2-0.
At the moment, the Blue Explosion for February 10 is still on, and they would face Libertad de Loja, but it is not known if it will be held with public attendance.
