In the villages of Borovsky and Andreevsky, Tyumensky district, Tyumen region, an emergency situation (ES) was introduced due to an outbreak of bird flu at one of the largest poultry farm in the region “Borovskaya”. The decree about this is published on the website of the district administration. Veterinary and police sanitary posts are set up on the territory of the district.
Since October 14, quarantine has been established at the poultry farm due to the detection of the bird flu virus in workshop No. 3. All the products of the workshop (eggs and poultry) are seized and will be burned. On the territory within a radius of 6 km from the poultry farm, on Saturday and Sunday, the population of poultry (chickens, geese, ducks and others) is confiscated from the population for burning. The authorities promise to compensate for the losses of citizens due to the seizure.
According to Roman Zverev, deputy head of the Tyumen region veterinary department, the situation regarding the elimination of the outbreak of bird flu is under control. “Avian flu is not a new disease, it is widespread in the countries of Central Asia. Its carrier is a wild waterfowl, it is a natural reservoir of this disease, it migrates, so we periodically record bird flu both in the Russian Federation and in neighboring countries, ”Mr. Zverev said in a video posted by the regional headquarters.
According to Deputy Governor Vladimir Cheymetov, the destruction of products will not lead to a shortage of products. The factories of the region produce 1.5 billion eggs annually. 70% of products are exported to other regions of the country.
Over the past two weeks, quarantine due to bird flu has been introduced on the territory of a number of villages in the Tyumen region, among them: Uktuz and Polozaozerye of the Berdyuzhsky district, the village of Verkhniy Ingal and the village of Onufrievo in the Isetsky district, the villages of Dalnetravnoye and Chirki of the Kazan district, the village of Pushkareva, Uporovsky district, in Yalutorovsk, the village of Progress and the village of Pamyatnoye.
