Drone rescue mission saves drowning individual

Lysekil – In a daring nighttime rescue operation, a drowning individual was saved by the combined efforts of the police, ambulance, and rescue services. The alarm came in to SOS just after nine on Friday evening, prompting an immediate response to the scene.

According to Ulrik Olsson from the Norra Älvsborg rescue service, two people had taken care of the person in the water. Their quick actions potentially saved the individual’s life. However, the extent of the person’s injuries was unclear at the time.

By 22:20, the ambulance and rescue services had completed their mission and left the scene. The person in question was then transported to the hospital via a helicopter, as confirmed by Sören Gustavsson from SOS Alarm.

Despite the prompt rescue efforts and swift medical evacuation, the person’s injury status remained unknown at midnight. The medical team at the hospital continues to provide the necessary care and assessment.
