Emma Stone Inducted Into “Saturday Night Live’s” Five-Timers Club

Actress Emma Stone became the newest member of “Saturday Night Live‘s” Five-Timers Club this past Saturday, as she was welcomed into “SNL her-story” by Tina Fey and Candice Bergen during her monologue.

Fey and Bergen presented Stone with the iconic Five-Timers Club jacket, to which Stone humorously joked about a potential joint being hidden in the pocket. Bergen quipped in response, “That must be Woody Harrelson’s jacket.”

Stone then teased that there was also a vaccine card in the jacket, to which Fey quipped, “Then it’s definitely not Woody’s.” Harrelson had previously hosted “SNL” in February and mentioned conspiracy theories about the COVID-19 vaccine in his monologue.

Stone’s episode was opened by Bowen Yang, who played expelled congressman George Santos and sang a parody of Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind.”

Currently starring opposite Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie in Showtime’s “The Curse,” Stone continues to make headlines. The series follows Whitney and Asher Siegel (played by Stone and Fielder), a married couple making an HGTV show about their philanthropic house flipping in the New Mexico town of Española. When Asher is “cursed” by a child, their marriage and professional relationship begin to spiral.

Next, Stone will be seen in Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things,” a surrealist black comedy for which she is being touted as a best actress contender. “Poor Things” also stars Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, Jerrod Carmichael, and Margaret Qualley.

This season of “Saturday Night Live” has seen a variety of celebrity hosts and musical guests, with A-list cameos including Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger, Alec Baldwin, Christopher Walken, and more.

Stone’s induction into the Five-Timers Club marks another milestone in her successful career.
