Emmanouil Karalis finished second in the Diamond League final in Brussels, in pole vault, with a performance of 5.82. The same height was achieved by Kendricks and Broeders, while the usual suspect Armando Duplantis finished first, even setting a meeting record.

Emmanouil Karalis finished second in the Diamond League final in pole vault, clearing 5.82 meters. He concluded a great year for him, where he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, the bronze at the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow and the silver at the Outdoor European Championships in Rome.

The first place and the $30,000 prize went to the “phenomenon” Mondo Duplantis, who cleared 6.11 and set a meeting record. The Swedish jumper did not continue to try to break the world record for the 11th time and simply settled for winning the Diamond League Trophy for the fourth consecutive time.

Belgian Ben Broeders (equaling his best performance of the year) and Sam Kendricks cleared 5.82 on their first attempt. However, both had an invalid attempt at 5.62 (a jump that Karalis left), thus finishing third.

Frenchman Thibaut Collet and American Christopher Nilsen cleared 5.62 on their second attempt, while fellow American KC Lightfoot did the same height but on the third attempt, resulting in him being last in the ranking.
