The President of the Republic will be the guest on Sunday, September 24 live from the Elysée of the 8 p.m. newspapers of France 2 and TF1, the two channels announced on Saturday in a press release. Anne-Claire Coudray and Laurent Delahousse will question Emmanuel Macron “after a historic week where France received the King of the United Kingdom as well as the Pope, in the middle of the Rugby World Cup”et “on the eve of the presentation of ecological planning”before that of the budget on Wednesday, underlined the Elysée.

This interview also comes at a time when the government is faced with opposition who accuse it of not doing enough against inflation, and when the international situation is tense, in Niger after the coup d’état of July 26 or in the Nagorno-Karabakh, a secessionist region populated by Armenians, where the Azerbaijani military won a lightning victory at the start of the week.

It is also Sunday evening that the results of the senatorial elections will fall – the presidential party should not make any sparks, following on from the 2020 municipal elections.
