Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has welcomed her first child, a daughter named Georgie Grace Whitehead, with husband Adam Whitehead.
The actress, widely recognized for her role as Victoria Sugden on the ITV series, shared the joyful news with her Instagram followers on Friday afternoon.
Hodgins, 32, announced the arrival of baby Georgie Grace, who weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 5 ounces, in a heartfelt post. She revealed her daughter was born in the early hours of February 11 – a particularly special date as it also marked her husband’s birthday.
Alongside the first photo of her newborn, Hodgins wrote simply: ‘And then we heard you.’
In a separate message directed at Whitehead, she added playfully: ‘Well least you’ll have double celebrations now.’
The couple first revealed they were expecting a baby in August, just four months after tying the knot, and admitted they were surprised by how quickly their family was growing.
Hodgins told The Mirror: ‘It’s something that we wanted to happen, but now it actually has, it’s still sinking in!’
The actress shared that she and Whitehead were so shocked by the positive pregnancy test that they purchased three more to confirm the result.
‘Originally, we booked a wedding for 2026, but then I realised I didn’t want to wait that long to start a family. But I also wanted to be married first, so I kept changing the goal posts, but this was always the plan!’
Hodgins experienced some typical first-trimester challenges, including fatigue and mood swings, but remained positive throughout her pregnancy.
‘I didn’t know what to expect, but I think it has been tougher than I thought because it’s been a bit of a roller-coaster. But luckily, I haven’t been very sick, so that’s a plus’.
In a sweet Instagram post, the actress celebrated the upcoming arrival, writing: ‘First comes love, Then comes marriage, then comes… Baby Whitehead’.
The couple exchanged vows at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester, surrounded by loved ones, in April 2025.
Hodgins previously shared details of her wedding day with The Mirror, revealing that her Emmerdale co-star Eden Taylor Draper served as a bridesmaid, alongside a school friend and her mother.

She said: ‘I’ve known them for so long, Laura’s like a sister to me. Eden was my bridesmaid. They’re just all such special, beautiful people.’
‘I said in my speech that me and Adam hadn’t been going out for very long and I was telling Zoë [Henry] about him and she was like, ‘I’ve got a feeling you’re going to marry this man.’ She just knew.”’
