There is a little bit of Italy thanks to «The white lotus» in the nominations for the most important television awards assigned in the United States
Italian satisfactions with the nominations for the Emmy Awards, the most important television awards assigned every year in the United States: both Sabrina Impacciatore and Simona Tabasco are candidates for best supporting actresses for the second season of «The white lotus», the Hbo series directed by Mike White which tells the story of the vices and paranoia of a group of rich Americans on vacation, set in this case in Taormina.
However, «Succession» did a great hoard of nominations: the fourth and final season of the Roys’ family saga brought home 27 nominations, dominating the 75th edition of the Emmys which will be awarded in Los Angeles in September. For the first time, among other things, three actors from the same series (Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong) are nominated for best protagonists.
Rain of nominations also for «The last of us», which collected 24, and precisely for «The white lotus» which collects 23, particularly significant given the Italian contribution: on Twitter the names of Impacciatore and Tabasco immediately flew between the trending topics and for Impacciatore, much appreciated in Hollywood in the role of the austere hotel manager in the series, is further confirmation of the esteem she enjoys overseas.
