Bodi–The councilors in the Bodi municipal meeting urged that steps should be taken to generate electricity from the water coming from Kurangani to the municipal drinking water treatment plant. Commissioner Selvarani, Deputy Chairman Krishnaveni, Manager Murali presided. The councilors spoke in the meeting as follows: Manikandan: People are facing difficulties because the Bodi municipal crematorium is damaged and unsanitary. Chairman: Funds will be allocated to repair the gas crematorium and basic facilities will be provided.Perumal: The municipality should take steps to generate electricity and supply street lights due to the speed of the water falling in the Kurangani area during the rainy season. Appropriate action will be taken to purify the drinking water at the municipal drinking water treatment plant and Rs. Various resolutions were passed including purchase of required chlorine cylinder at a cost of 3 lakhs.
