In the Talas region, employees of the inter-district department of the Ministry of Social Development and the local branch of the State Enterprise “Kyrgyzpochtasy” are suspected of embezzling money intended for low-income families. The 24.kg news agency writes about this with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the supervisory authority, from 2019 to 2022, they entered the social corporate assistance system and issued benefits for the dead, as well as those who left the country. The damage to the state amounted to 8 million 428 thousand soms. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
Employees of the Ministry of Social Development and “Kyrgyzpochtasa” were charged under the articles “Abuse of official position”, “Official forgery”, and “Forgery of documents”. They were released on bail, and they have already paid most of the damage.
