Employment: 313,000 positions created and declared to the CNSS in 2023 (Mr. Sekkouri)
Rabat – Nearly 313,000 jobs have been created and declared to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) in 2023, compared to 175,000 jobs in 2022, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, said on Monday in the House of Representatives.
In response to a central question during an oral question session, Mr. Sekkouri described this development as a “major transformation” and an “unprecedented achievement,” noting that this number includes, in addition to new positions, people who have moved from the informal to the formal sector.
The minister attributed these achievements to the measures taken by the government and to the rigorous control which, he said, pushed “a large number of companies to declare their employees to the CNSS”.
In this context, he also highlighted “the excellent work carried out within the framework of the Investment Charter and the incentives provided by government programs, as well as the long-term projects within the framework of the “Awrach” program, which have created around 50,000 jobs.
