The daily Business Insider reports that several videos posted on social networks show Russian men mobilized in an advanced state of intoxication.

This video shared by a journalist from Belarus is quite striking; you can see men hitting each other, while shouting insults at each other. The extract was filmed in the Yuzhno-Kurilsk region in the Russian Far East.

Excessive alcohol consumption by Russian soldiers is a major issue for the country’s authorities.

Moreover, the sale of alcohol is prohibited within a perimeter of 300 meters around military bases. According to experts, the low morale of Vladimir Putin’s troops as well as the many logistical problems in the army are to blame.
