(Anwar Abbas) For the first time in Bangladesh, the death anniversary of the founder of Islami Jamia Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated.

On the 76th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a ceremony was organized by Nawab Salimullah Academy at the National Press Club of Dhaka. The Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan also participated in the event. Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Kamran Dhingal also participated in the ceremony. Deputy High Commissioner Kamran Dhingal described Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership as “brilliant” on the platform of Muslim League and said that for the new nation His vision was clear, he advocated a progressive and inclusive state, one that reflected a commitment to freedom and tolerance.

The speakers said that if there was no Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan would not have been formed and Bangladesh would not have existed. Bangladesh should develop close relations with Pakistan and China. In the ceremony, various aspects of life including the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah were discussed. Highlighted and a poem written on Quaid-e-Azam was also read, 2 Pakistani students studying in Bangladesh paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam by singing a song.

It should be noted that after violent protests across the country and the end of Sheikh Hasina’s government, the interim government did not even celebrate the anniversary of Sheikh Mujib in Bangladesh this year.
