This change of month is accompanied by many new features. Le Figaro takes stock.

End of regulated gas sales tariffs

Regulated natural gas sales tariffs (TRVG) end on June 30. More than 2 million households must take out a new contract. All were also affected by the tariff shield put in place by the government, which limited the increase in gas prices to 15% on average this year. But it also ends on July 1. Engie, which holds 95% of TRVG contracts, has multiplied the letters to the customers concerned. If they have not taken any steps, they will default to Engie’s new offer, known as the gateway, which includes an annual subscription and a price per kWh according to consumption, like its predecessor. The Energy Regulatory Commission has released a benchmark price for July, to help consumers avoid scams.

The index point for civil servants revalued

If you are in the civil service, your salary will be increased. The government has indeed announced a revaluation of 1.5% of the index point for civil servants on 1 July. This change is accompanied for some of a bonus of purchasing power of an amount between 300 and 800 euros. Civil servants earning up to 3,250 euros will benefit from it, and it will be received by 50% of civil servants and 70% of hospital public servants.

A “net social amount” on pay slips

A new line will appear on your payslip; the net corporate amount. It represents “net income after deduction of all social contributions» and will be «a common reference for all employees, regardless of their status, branch or company“, explains the Ministry of Labor.

This novelty aims to fight against the non-use of the RSA and the activity bonus. The steps to be taken to obtain these allowances will be simplified, since from 2024 employers will have to declare this amount. And, for administrations such as the CAF, the information will be pre-filled in the declarations of resources of the recipients.

The double repair bonus

Good news: the repair bonus, which helps you repair your household appliances, bicycles, etc., will double. The government introduced this device in December 2022 to encourage the French to repair their devices instead of replacing them. This bonus, which ranged from 10 to 45 euros, will therefore double from July 1, from 10 to 20 euros for small appliances, such as toasters or kettles. Vacuum cleaners, drills, bicycles and scooters see their bonus increase up to 30 euros. 60 euros will be allocated to washing machines, tablets, mobile phones and fridges/freezers. Finally, the bonus will increase from 45 to 90 euros for laptops.

Change in the payment of social benefits

From July 1,no social allowance other than retirement may be paid” on bank accounts outside the SEPA zone, announced the Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, on Europe 1, specifying it is “ because the European banks guarantee us much better the identity of the person behind the account».

The amount of assistance for the takeover or creation of a business will increase

Aid for business creation is increasing. They go from 45% to 60% of the rights to the return-to-work assistance allowance (Arce) which remain to be paid at the start of the activity. Only jobseekers whose contract ended on or after July 1, 2023 will be affected by this change.

Owners, remember to make your declaration of real estate

Good news for latecomers, the government has extended the deadline for the declaration of real estate until the end of July.

This new obligation, which is valid for individuals as well as companies, requires owners to declare the occupation of their accommodation. According to the Directorate General of Public Finances,34 million owners are concerned for 73 million residential premises in France».
