Endesa enters the local world in its wind farms in Terra Alta and Ribera d’Ebre

Endesathrough its renewable subsidiary, Enel Green Power Spain (EGPE), has already opened the local participation instrument for the construction of the different wind farms in Terra Alta and Ribera d’Ebre. This measure applied by the company is included in Decree Law 24/2021 to accelerate the deployment of renewable energies. Thanks to this, users can make their will effective.and invest in the park.

The company has put into operation a financial instrument that offers an investment opportunity in the construction of wind farms in Les Crestes, El Calvari and Fontcalda with the aim of promoting the socioeconomic development of the territory. This instrument of local participation is part of the shared value plan that the company presents to the territory. This includes different proposals related to occupation, social projects, environmental development, protection of biodiversity and production of renewable energy.

The Les Crestes park is located in the municipality of Batea and foresees the installation of 49.28 megawatts (MW). This park facility, which is currently in the processing phase, foresees the installation of 10 wind turbines with an investment of 50 million euros.

The El Calvari park, with an investment of 50 million euros, has 8 wind turbines located in the municipality of La Pobla de Massaluca and one wind turbine in the municipality of Batea and foresees the installation of 50 MW of power.

Finally, the Fontcalda park, which is in the municipality of Batea, foresees the installation of 11 wind turbines with an installed power of 49.28 MW and an investment of 50 million euros.

With the accumulated installed power of the three projects of Les Crestres, El Calvari and Fontcalda, 420 GWh/any are generated, which would be equivalent to satisfying the annual electricity consumption of all the networks in the Camp de Tarragona regions.
