by time news

Endrick was presented by Real Madrid this Saturday (27). The forward was emotional and cried a lot during his first words to the fans present at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The Brazilian stated that he has been a fan of the club since childhood and admitted that he did not expect such a large reception. “It’s insane,” he said.

“I want to thank everyone for coming to Santiago (Bernabéu). I won’t lie, I wasn’t expecting all this, so many people. The happiness is immense. I am very happy because I’ve been a Madrid fan since I was young. And now I will play for Madrid,” he started.

“I’m here, very happy, my family is as well. It’s insane. I have no words to describe how I feel, I’ve always wanted to be here, wanted to play for Madrid, it was a dream. And, well, I thank everyone. And now let’s sing a song together, and I know everyone will sing with me. 3, 2, 1…”, he concluded, with the famous countdown from presentations at the club, for the fans to finish: “Hala, Madrid”.

Earlier, Endrick underwent medical examinations and performed the ceremonial act of signing a six-year contract. He received the number 16 jersey, the same number he wore at the beginning at Palmeiras.

President Florentino Pérez praised the Brazilian and highlighted Endrick’s achievements with the São Paulo club.

“Despite his youth, he arrives at Real Madrid with an important background, which he achieved in a football environment admired by everyone, such as Brazilian football. He won two Brazilian championships, a Super Cup, and two São Paulo Championships wearing the historic jersey of Palmeiras, which is very dear to all of us. He was a very important player for his team and won the affection of all the fans,” he said.

“He has become one of the emerging stars of national football. The youngest player from Palmeiras to debut and score for the first team, at just 16 years old. Being also the only player to win titles in all categories of the Palmeiras youth teams,” he added.
