Akis‌ Manzios is expected to be a thing of the past from ⁢the technical ‍leadership of Aris, with the Thessalonians promoting the recruitment of John Van Sip.

Aris⁣ is going ahead with ⁣a ‌change of coach, because ⁢the return ‍to victories over Atromitos in ⁣Kleanthis⁣ Vikelidis, was not enough to keep Akis Manzios in charge of ⁣the team. John Van Sip has been chosen ‌to replace him.

PAE Aris powerful‌ man Theodoros Karypidis is expected to meet the Greek coach on Sunday (08/12)‍ adn announce his decision to complete the cooperation between the two sides.

John Van Sip is a connoisseur of Greek reality as he‌ was on the bench ‌of the National team. Michalis Balkanis is⁣ expected to be his direct partner.

Van Sip’s last job was‍ at Ajax, when he accepted a position as a service technician⁣ at Ayandas last October and then took on a position ⁤as⁢ a technical‌ consultant, where he remained untill November 11.

In the past outside the Netherlands (apart from the national team) he has coached Melbourne Heart⁤ (having also been technical director),and the Mexican Chivas.

Akis Manzios is expected to finish his second term in the⁤ squad with 58 games (in the first he sat in 66),⁢ after taking‌ over ‌the technical leadership of the squad at the end of ‍august 2023.

It left Aris in third place (temporarily) with⁢ 24 points, but also out of the Betsson Greek Cup, as the yellows where eliminated by AEK.
