63% of the power lines present in Allier are overhead. This is why the vast program to rehabilitate these high voltage wires launched by Enedis on a national scale particularly affects the department. If the planned interventions are to last until 2040, work has already started in Allier, indicates The mountain.

40 km of high voltage A (HTA) lines have been under renovation since last July in Saint-Désiré (Allier). The project, which will ultimately see the repair of 62 public distribution stations, should last until December 2023 for a budget of 781,000 euros. The other sites where work will be carried out will be determined by Enedis after studying various data and images of the department’s lines filmed by drones.

Nadine Salaris, Enedis territorial director of Allier, explained that the department “has a geography and a climate which makes it possible to have an air HTA network”. The company therefore wants to work on the quality of these installations, which are less expensive than the buried network in order to ensure reliable power supply.
