Energy prices: to survive the winter, these companies will… close

Radical. At the head of the well-known brands William Saurin, Panzani or Garbit, Cofigeo will close four of its main factories, representing 80% of its production, in early 2023, in the face of the “dramatic rise in its energy costs”, multiplied by ten since the beginning of the year. The group does not know when it will resume its activity, but it hopes “as soon as possible”. Cofigeo is not an isolated case: across the country, several companies faced with an increase in gas and electricity prices have announced their closure, their time to let winter pass.
