Its benefits were not limited to the energy sector, but it also pays for hospitals, schools, and its entire economy. It is growing from new investments in manufacturing and industries. Everyone wants to come to Texas and this is the result of the oil and gas industry,” the US official mentioned as an example. After which, he recalled the work that US President Joe Biden is doing to “build a clean energy economy, focusing on sustainability and asking government agencies to collaborate with the private sector.”

Stanley stressed that the United States is a “natural ally” of the country “in every way.”

On the other hand, Argentina, along with other countries, will be key to the Biden administration’s objective of “diversifying the supply chains of critical minerals, particularly those central to the energy transition.” “We and other governments launched the Minerals Security Partnership last year and we are very proud, because it seeks to support all countries, including Argentina, in reaping the economic benefits of mineral resources through high standards. environmental, social, and governmental,” Stanley recalled. In this sense, he remarked that the objective is for “countries like Argentina to benefit from all stages of the value chain, from extraction to processing and recycling.”
In the presence of various US companies linked to the energy and mining sector, Stanley called for “a business climate that attracts the development and participation of companies.” “These companies can go anywhere they want in the world and we have to help them navigate their risks by giving them predictability, the rule of law, clarity, access to capital and imports, and the ability to exploit,” the diplomat said, adding: “This investment climate is key for companies to come to Argentina instead of other destinations.” Finally, he concluded that the United States and the country share “the same objective of a productive, competitive, innovative and sustainable Argentina, which has a leadership role not only in South America but in the world.” The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the United States in Argentina (AmCham), will have various panels in which it will focus on the opportunities that the energy sector presents for the development and economic growth of the country.
