The enforcement department today raided the house of Shiv Sena member Sanjay Rawat.
PTI news agency reports that the raid was conducted in connection with a money laundering case filed against him.

That is, it is said that this investigation has been conducted in connection with the fraud in the house renovation project worth one thousand crores.
The enforcement department arrived at Sanjay Raut’s house at 7 am today and started searches and investigations.
As news of the raid spread, Sanjay Raut’s supporters gathered in front of his house and staged a protest. Members of Shiv Sena also raised slogans in support of Sanjay Raut.
Speaking about the raid, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “If he has done nothing wrong, why is he afraid? He is a senior leader of Shiv Sena’s Maha Vikas Akadi. One should not come to our party just because he is afraid of the enforcement department.”

Earlier, Sanjay Raut reportedly ignored the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate to appear for questioning on July 20 and 27.
Sanjay Rawat is close to former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Thackeray lost his post when Eknath Shinde, who was a minister in the Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra, broke away from the party and formed an opposition group. Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister.
In this situation, the raid was conducted today at the house of Sanjay Rawat, who is close to Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray.
