Much more realistic than the African champions, England crushed Senegal (3-0) in the round of 16. Next step for the Three Lions: the reigning French world champions.
England win the Lions duel. The Three Lions beat their cousins from Teranga on Sunday, December 4, in the round of 16 of the World Cup (3-0). Jude Bellingham’s teammates will face the French team, winners of Poland earlier.
Senegal had however entered the match better at Al-Bayt. They put pressure on the English and get the best chances. They can, however, rely on an in-form Pickford to keep them in the game.
Pickford saves England

Resigned, the Teranga Lions barely try. The English manage and Gareth Southgate even allows himself to rotate by leaving John Stones, Henderson and Bellingham prematurely.
End of course for Senegal who dreamed of becoming the first African country to join the last four of a World Cup. With Sadio Mané’s package, the market was probably too high for the African champions. The Three Lions offer themselves a dream quarter-final against the reigning world champions.
