England will play a three-match T20I series and a five-match ODI series against Australia next month. The T20 and ODI squads have been announced ahead of this series. Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali, who played more than 400 matches together, did not get a place in that team.

However, after England’s collapse in the ODI and T20 World Cups, they want to form a new team. That’s why it gives opportunities to newcomers. Limited-overs coach Matthew Motts was sacked by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) last month. Besides Bairstow, Moeen Ali was also left out of the team.

Jos Buttler’s assistant Moeen is now 37. Bairstow, on the other hand, is 35. Both of them have an international career ahead of them. The board wants to give opportunities to newcomers in their place.

Five new faces got a place in this team against Australia. Bahati pacer Josh Hull, all-rounder Jacob Bethel and pacer John Turner are notable among them. They got opportunities in both T20 and ODI teams. In addition, Dan Mosley and Jordan Cox got a place in the T20 team.

T20 Squad:
Jos Buttler (captain), Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethel, Brydon Curse, Jordan Cox, Sam Curran, Josh Hull, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Dan Mosley, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Reece Topley and John Turner.

ODI Squad:
