The pub owner received a strange warning

The owner of an English pub in Lancashire was warned and ordered to remain silent while watching England’s UEFA European Football Championship matches. The local authorities’ demand caused bewilderment among the businessman: he asked the auditors to fine him in advance.

According to The Daily Mail, the pub owner has set up a huge tent in front of his establishment, in which 96 people can simultaneously watch football on two screens and drink beer.

Suddenly, inspectors came to the businessman and said that the pub owner should forbid his visitors to shout, chant and whistle while watching matches. They explained their demand by the need to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus.

The pub owner himself admitted that at first he did not even believe that this was not a joke. Nevertheless, he was threatened with a fine of £ 1,000 (101,000 rubles).

“How the hell am I supposed to do this? Pause the broadcast when someone is about to hit the goal and warn everyone to keep quiet? ” – the entrepreneur is indignant.

The pub owner added that he asked the inspectors to fine him immediately, since it is simply impossible to silence fans during broadcasts.

Earlier, England beat Croatia in their first match at Euro 2020. On Friday, 18 June, the British are due to face the Scottish national team.
