Calusac: English placement exams in July 2024
The second half of the year has begun and it is a good time to start new projects or complete others that you had proposed. If you were in them Study English in Calusacperform the ubication test is the first step to do so.
This test is aimed at people who have previous knowledge of the language and want to assess their level of competence in order to continue studying in the course that best suits them. Language Learning Center of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala ―CALUSAC― has already announced the dates for its evaluations of julioso that you can register for the next courses that open during the year. These are the available dates, you can check the schedules when making your assignment:
- Saturday July 6th
- Saturday July 13th
- Saturday July 20th
- Saturday July 27th
Steps to assign yourself
To register for the placement exam, applicants must follow a series of steps through the CALUSAC Network platform. Below we share the process:
- Create an account: If you do not have an account yet, you must create one at redcalusac.usac.edu.gt.
- Log in and access the corresponding section: Once you have created your account, log in and look for the “Calusac” section. There, select “Exam location.”
- Fill out the form: Enter your details in the form provided, select the location, type of exam and language, and add a photograph of both sides of your DPI.
- Review and approval: After completing the form, you will receive an email confirming that the paperwork has been approved and that you can now generate your payment order.
- Make the payment: From your account in Red CALUSAC, generate the payment order and make the payment of Q 50.00. This can be done at any Banrural, Bantrab or G&T branch or online banking.
- Validate the payment: Once the payment has been made, log in to your account on Red CALUSAC again and click on “Validate payment” to confirm the deposit.
- Choose the date and time of the exam: With your payment validated, you will be able to choose the date and time of the exam that best suits you.
- Generate the allocation voucher: Finally, it is advisable to generate the assignment receipt, which will serve as proof of your participation in the exam.
Tips for taking a language placement test
- Good connectivity and devices: Because the exam is virtual, make sure you have a stable connection and take it on a computer or laptop.
- Practice regularly: Take practice exercises and mock exams. Not only will this help you identify your weak points, but it will also allow you to get used to the format and type of questions you can expect.
- Manage your time: During the exam, check your time constantly to make sure you are progressing at an appropriate pace and that you do not run out of time to complete all sections.
- Read the instructions carefully: Make sure you fully understand each question and its instructions before answering.
- Keep calm: It’s normal to feel nervous before and during the exam, but try to stay calm. Breathe deeply and take short mental breaks if you feel yourself getting overwhelmed.
