A mod for Fallout 4 reworks the leveling system with new perks and traits for more variety. But be careful: after the next-gen patch, the mod could become unusable for a short time.
Before the next-gen update for Fallout 4 is released on April 25th, you could try out some new Fallout 4 mods. For example, one modder took a look at the leveling system of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG and reworked the perks, skills, and traits to make them feel more like the classic titles in the series, while also removing some of the useless perks.
Fallout 4 Mod: Overhaul of the leveling system for more replayability
The mod in question comes from the modder FishFiend and offers around 50 new perks, 14 new traits, 12 new skills and many changes to the original perks from Fallout 4. If you feel like it after watching the new Fallout TV series, you can go back to it If you want to enter the wasteland, this mod could be worth it. By the way, the mod is a revision of the Hot Diggity mod by FishFiend from 2020. You can download it here NexusMods download.
Modder FishFiend himself explains that the aim of the mod is to “improve replayability by slowing down the gradual transition of each character into a jack-of-all-trades” and to “incorporate niche perks that give each character more individuality.” The biggest changes concern the perks, which have not only been expanded to include the 50 new perks mentioned at the beginning, but also new perk requirements are intended to encourage new ways of playing. Many of the original perks received a rework. The traits in the mod, meanwhile, aim to return to a leveling system like in Fallout 1, Fallout 2 or Fallout: New Vegas.
However, it is important to note: With the next-gen patch for Fallout 4 coming out next week, this mod could also be rendered unusable for a short time. Maybe you can just wait until next week. The mod also requires additional mods as prerequisites and the DLCs Far Harbor and Nuka World must also be installed.
