Enrique López charges against Calviño’s “xenophobia” and demands that he apologize to Latin Americans

by time news

The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Interior of the Community of Madrid, Enrique López, has charged against the “xenophobia” of the First Vice President of the Government, Nadia Calviño, to the Latin American world and has demanded that she apologize for her words in which she criticizes the new tax incentive announced by the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

López has criticized Calviño after he has called the Ayuso initiative a “smokescreen”, assuring that looking for “Latin American millionaires” is a measure that “qualifies itself.”

In this regard, the Madrid counselor has censured that the words of the Vice President of the Government are added to “the laughter” of the Secretary of State for Equality, describing the Executive as “missing” and “rude”.

For the counselor, these statements denote “a strong sectarianism and a certain degree of racism and xenophobia towards the Latin American world.” “Madrid wants to attract investors who bring money and wealth to the Community”, he asserted.

For this reason, he has said that Calviño, “apart from insulting”, should withdraw that sentence and apologize. “What he has done is not understand. Capital has no nationality. He has to rectify his words and understand the Community of Madrid.”
