Coimbatore police issued a statement: According to Chennai Municipal Police Rules, Section 34 of 1888, entertainment in any enclosed place or building without obtaining proper license. It is not allowed to run a site or resort. According to section 35, it is not allowed to run a martial arts school or gymnasium. Apart from this, to run such establishments with an area of ​​500 or more, a proper license should be obtained from the Municipal Police Commissioner and renewed once a year. Owners who do not renew their license should immediately renew their license by paying a penalty of Rs.50 and a renewal fee of Rs.75 for every day that the license expires to avoid legal action against them. In case of violation of any terms, conditions of the licence, such premises shall be closed and treated as unlicensed premises as per Section, 39 of the Chennai Metropolitan Police Regulations. .In Coimbatore, 21 marriage halls have not renewed their license. Notices for this have been given to those companies. If these establishments do not comply with the rules given in the notice, action will be taken to close the establishments. Therefore, the establishments such as marriage hall, entertainment hall, browsing center, gymnasium, community hall, video games center should have a valid license obtained from the Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore. Those whose licenses have expired annually are advised to apply for renewal, the statement said.
