Greenweekend. This is the name of an environmental entrepreneurship program that since 2013 has helped projects related to sustainability and the environment to move forward.
It will be on November 21 when a new edition of Greenweekend begins. This entrepreneurship program is open to the participation of green entrepreneurs from all over Spain. Their first session will be online and in it the work teams and mentors involved will be announced.
Participants will learn under the ‘Sprint’ methodology. Thus, they will have 12 hours of group training on specific topics in which the teams will progress weekly in their initiatives. In addition, they will have 6 hours of individual mentoring associated with the project they are developing.
After a month of virtual work in which entrepreneurs will participate in talks and mentoring sessions, a jury will reward the most outstanding projects. It will do so in a face-to-face conference that will be held on December 16 in Madrid and in which entrepreneurs, mentors and investors will meet. In this final event, the winners will be announced in the ideation phase categories and in projects that are already underway. In both the prize will be 1,500 euros.

The event is promoted by Enviroo. The director of Enviroo, Agustín Valentín-Gamazo, thinks that the new format of the event “concentrates its efforts on a single annual edition and broadens its national scope, better adapting to the needs of entrepreneurs, who will have the training and advice of the mentors specialists in the environment and business management with the aim that in four weeks they can promote and verify the viability of their projects”.
To date, Greenweekend has organized 33 editions throughout Spain. In total, this green entrepreneurship program has helped promote more than 105 environmental projects with a positive impact on society. The free program has been organized since 2015 to support entrepreneurship and business models that have a positive impact on the environment.
