The International Film Academy (AIC) is calling for the 12th FILMWORKS FILM FESTIVAL. The competitive exhibition of films produced by Filmworks students also allows productions from the free Cinema and Documentary courses (online and face-to-face course) to register in their respective categories. Enrollment can be done by FilmFreeway platform until August 31, 2023.
The Festival
This year the festival takes place on days on days October 21st and 22ndin São Paulo, at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), from 9am to 12pm.
The objective of the Festival is to promote, encourage and provoke reflections on the short film format, seeking to improve the exchange between productions and the public, in addition to bringing school students closer to the reality of film festivals.
Awards and Categories
The 12th FWFF awards will feature the following categories:
To participate in the selection, films must have been completed in the period 2022/2023.
In the New Vision/Novo Olhar category, only films produced in Module I of Filmworks of up to 5 minutes can compete.
Films produced in the Cinema and Documentary courses – face-to-face or online – compete in the Best Doc and Short Film categories respectively.
With the exception of the Free Short category, films produced at Filmworks compete in all categories.
With the exception of the Popular Jury category, the winners will be chosen by an external jury appointed by the academic coordination and faculty of AIC.
