Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury urged developed countries to fulfill their climate commitments.

While speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, the Environment Minister emphasized the need to increase global solidarity and confidence, and said that efforts should be made to strengthen the momentum created by the consensus of the United Arab Emirates during COP28.

In pursuit of this goal and as the world prepares for COP29 in Baku later this year, Minister Choudhary advocated for increased and equitable distribution of funding for adaptation and combating loss round damage. All actions must be science-based to limit temperature rise to 1.5 degrees. He insists that we must solve the problem of climate change faster than we are creating it.
