Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that the ministry has taken the initiative to include subjects related to environment conservation and climate change in the curriculum for students from class III to class VIII. Such initiatives are being taken by the ministry as an urge to make children aware from an early age by including environmental conservation issues in the curriculum.
The minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the National Seminar on Sustainable Urbanization and Environment Protection Recommendations at a hotel in the capital on Monday (April 29).
The minister urged everyone to change their habitual daily habits in the field of environmental protection. He urged everyone to be more aware of using plastic. At the same time, the minister called upon the city officials to play an effective role in removing the waste.
The minister said that the government cannot do anything alone, it has to work with everyone. The minister called for the formation of a caucus in Parliament of the 46 MPs who pledged waste management before the elections.
