The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAME) activated today Wednesday, January 1, 2025 the atmospheric environmental contingency regional by PM2.5 particles and poor air quality in the Northeastern area of the Valley of Mexico.
The measure responds to the fact that a value of 100 micrograms per cubic meter of PM2.5 particles was recorded at the Nezahualcóyotl station, in the State of Mexico, due to the concentration of particles due to pyrotechnics and the burning of materials by the New Year 2025.
