This morning the poor air quality reached the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor’s Office and the Municipalities of: Acolman, Atenco, Axapusco, Chiautla, Chicoloapan, Chiconcuac, Chimalhuacán, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Ecatepec de Morelos, Hueypoxtla, Ixtapaluca, Jaltenco, La Paz , Nextlalpan, Nezahualcóyotl, Nopaltepec, Otumba, Papalotla, San Martín de las Pirámides, Tecámac, Temascalapa, Teotihuacán, Tepetlaoxtoc, Texcoco, Tezoyuca, Tonanitla and Zumpango.
This is the first environmental contingency of 2025.
The above, due to the fact that during the early morning and morning hours there was an increase in the concentration of particles in the air, caused mainly by the widespread use of pyrotechnics and the burning of materials and fuels. For this reason, the environmental contingency was activated.
