Environmental Management System: Laayoune Diesel Power Plant certified ISO 14001-V2015
Laayoune – The Laayoune Diesel Power Plant of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), with an installed capacity of 93 MW, successfully passed a certification audit in accordance with the ISO 14001-Version 2015 standard last February.
This operation is part of the project to implement the Environmental Management System (EMS) at the level of ONEE’s Gas and Diesel Turbine Power Plants in the southern regions of the Kingdom, ONEE said in a press release.
This is the second distinction of its kind, after that of the Tan Tan Diesel Power Plant, with an installed capacity of 115.5 MW, certified in March 2023, notes the same source.
Carried out by a renowned organization, the audit covered all managerial, operational and support processes for all activities of the Laayoune Diesel Power Plant.
The success of this operation is the result of the commitment and involvement of management and all employees in carrying out actions aimed at reducing the impact on the environment, ensuring the rational use of natural resources and improving environmental performance, in accordance with the Office’s guidelines.
