At the first meeting of the 4th European Political Community (EPC) Summit in the UK, decisions were made to overcome the energy crisis.

As reported on Thursday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, this was stated by Moldovan President Maia Sandu, answering a question from the Public Television (ITV) of Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the event.

“I believe that the EPC is an important forum. I was able to talk about the problems that Moldova is facing. I can say that at the first meeting, the energy crisis was one of the very important issues for Moldova, and I believe that we were able to find some solutions,” she said.

Sandu believes that non-EU countries and small countries have a voice in these meetings.

“I think they are very important,” she added.

It should be noted that the 4th Summit of the European Political Community is taking place at Blenheim Palace in Oxford.

Some 47 heads of state and government are invited to take part in this ENP meeting.

The leaders discuss further support for Ukraine, as well as common challenges. The roundtable discussions cover topics such as migration, energy, cooperation, defense and the protection of democracy.

The European Political Community aims to develop political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest and to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent.

At their first meeting in October 2022, the leaders discussed peace and security, the Russia-Ukraine war and the energy crisis. At their next meeting in June 2023, they discussed joint efforts to ensure peace and security, energy sustainability, connectivity and mobility in Europe. In Granada in October 2023, the leaders discussed how to make Europe more resilient to geopolitical challenges.
