jpnn.com – Game distribution company and developer of “Fortnite”, Epic Games released the Epic Games Store application on Android and iOS.
The Epic Games Store app for Android can be downloaded worldwide, while the iOS version is only available in the European Union.
The digital store app will also feature a number of games that can be downloaded and played on mobile such as “Fortnite”, “Rocket League Sideswipe”, and “Fall Guys”.
Epic Games revealed that it is working with several development studios to release their games on the application.
Epic Games’ return to mobile devices comes four years after Apple removed “Fortnite” from the App Store.
That put Epic Games and Apple in a legal battle, coupled with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act regulations, which forced Apple to give in to the gaming company.
“The tide is turning and the mobile ecosystem is finally opening up to competition,” Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said in a statement.
“Now iOS users in Europe and all Android users can access our store and games, just as they always have on open platforms like PC and Mac,” he added.
