Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said terrorists and separatists had no choice but to give up their weapons or face death.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, Erdogan made this statement during a speech in the city of Samsun in northern Turkey.
“We will no longer tolerate terrorists who act in our region as agents of the imperialists. These separatist killers will either bury their weapons in the ground or be buried with them. There is no third way,” Erdogan said.
He noted that the era of violence, weapons and terror is over, and that “the use of the separatist terrorist organization (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) has expired.”
The Turkish President stressed that everyone must recognize this reality.
“I emphasize that there is no longer room for terror in our region. We have been living here for a thousand years, we own these territories. We will stay here forever and live freely. We hope that on the basis of brotherhood and mutual respect we will restore those areas where The separatists have sowed discord,” Erdogan added.
