Éric Ciotti may still be LR president, but he launches his new party this Saturday at 12:30 pm during his political return to his traditional stronghold of Levens (Alpes-Maritimes). According to our information, this establishment will be called the Union of Rights for the Republic. Its acronym, UDR, smacks of Gaullism. Indeed, it was under this label that the Union of Democrats for the Republic (UDR) was launched in 1967 to support General de Gaulle. A movement which, at that time, included a Jacques Chirac in its ranks.

Éric Ciotti, still in the middle of a legal battle with the Republicans since his association with Marine Le Pen’s National Rally, is opening a new chapter in his political life. With one goal: to be loyal to your new friend, while demanding your freedom. For his return to Levens, the chairman of the LR who is still present, will be with 15 other representatives of his parliamentary group in the National Assembly. Ciotti will focus on explaining how he wants to revive a hugely popular right-wing party in France.
