Erode East By-Election Results – 4 Candidates Get Only One Vote

Erode: In the Erode East by-election, in the counting of votes so far, 4 candidates have got only one vote.

Erode East Constituency by-election polling took place on 27th of last month. In this election, 77 candidates including Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan, AIADMK candidate KS Thennarasu, DMD candidate Anand, Naam Tamil Party candidate Maneka Navaneethan contested.

Counting of votes cast in this election is underway today (March 2) at 8 am. Votes are being counted in total 16 tables. The Election Commission officially announces the results of the counting of votes through the website. According to this, the results for 6 rounds have been announced on the Election Commission website so far.

In this, Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan has secured 46,072 votes. AIADMK candidate South has secured 16,907 votes. Naam Tamil Party candidate Maneka Navaneethan got 4062 votes and DMD candidate Anand got 605 votes. 264 people voted for NOTA. The Congress candidate secured 66.3 percent votes. AIADMK candidate got 24 percent votes.

Apart from this, 36 candidates got single digit votes. 4 independent candidates got only one vote. Rajendran, the 73rd candidate, has yet to get a single vote. Muthubava and Deepan Chakraborty are the only two independent candidates who got 3 digit votes. According to this, Muthubava got 294 votes and Deepan Chakraborty got 124 votes.
