Intendant Hans-Christoph Rademann and his small organizational team have titled the seventh edition of the festival “Saxony’s Brilliance”. It really does get off to a glamorous start on the second weekend in September – with a Venetian coronation ceremony in Marienberg, “Mother of Pearl on Travel” in Schlettau and a ball night in Stollberg. The bandoneon plays an important role as emigrants from the Ore Mountains and someone who brought it back to Saxony: Jürgen Karthe. Antje Flath spoke to the Dresden musician.
