This mini rocker takes after its famous daddy.

On Saturday, rock star Chris Harms (43) and his band “Lord Of The Lost” will represent Germany in the “Eurovision Song Contest”. His biggest fan will also be sitting proudly in the audience in Liverpool: his son Mika (11).

Chris Harms to BILD: “Mika is my everything and vice versa. When I’m not on tour, I spend every free minute with him if he wants. We go skating, on the Elbe or play video games. It doesn’t really matter what we do as long as we’re together.”

Like his dad, Mika has music in his blood. He likes to play the drums with his father. Harms: “We have a lot of instruments in our house and he can play whatever he wants. But what he does later is entirely up to him and I will support whatever it is.”

Does Harms wish his son would be a musician too? “Because I’m living my dream, I don’t have to force my child to live my dreams, which unfortunately some families sometimes have to do. Nothing good and healthy ever comes about under coercion.”

What did Mika get from his father besides musicality? Harms laughs: “We’re both extreme smartasses, he inherited that from me.”

Mika is very good at school, just like his father used to be. Harms: “Everything was always very easy for me, and luckily he inherited that from me.”

Do Mika’s friends know that dad is a rock star?

“Of course his friends know what I’m doing. But that is not important. And ‘Lord Of The Lost’ is hardly ever a topic at home either. I’m dad, not a rock star. The bottom line is that the latter doesn’t mean anything anyway, it’s not important. As wonderful as he is, it’s just a job. Family is always more important.”
