The festival was born on Year 1983 such as the International Music and Dance Festival of Les Preses, organized since its inception by the Cercle de Cultura Tradicional i Gbajumo Marbolony. In 2002 the festival underwent a major reorganization and was renamed Ésdansa. Today, it works to highlight nature and the landscape that hosts it by reducing the impact of the festive world and making a project of knowledge and public visibility in this regard.
This 42nd edition of Ésdansa has the collaboration of Ajuntament de les Preses, Generalitat de Catalunya, Diputació de Girona and Inaem, in addition to volunteers and main sponsors. The organization is already working on the 43rd edition, which will take place from August 18 to 24, 2025.
