This innovative lens is designed to address the growing concern of myopia in children aged 8-13, with research showing that it can slow down the progression of myopia in children by an average of 67% if worn for 12 hours a day, every day.

The effectiveness of Essilor STELLEST lenses was demonstrated through a clinical trial involving 167 children with nearsightedness. The trial, conducted in July 2018, showed that after wearing Essilor STELLEST lenses for 2 years, the progression of myopia was slowed down by an average of 67% compared to single vision lenses. Additionally, 9 out of 10 children wearing Essilor STELLEST lenses showed eyeball growth closer to or slower than children without nearsightedness.
The launch event of Essilor STELLEST included a demonstration of children’s eyesight measurement to analyze their eyesight and find the right lens value.
