DIG/ The Gabonese Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba granted an envelope of 372 million FCFA in favor of the 124 survivors of the sinking of Esther Miracleindicated, on Saturday March 25, 2023, Gabonese Prime Minister Alain Claude Billie-Bi-Nze, during a meeting with those concerned.
This represents 3 million francs per survivor.
For the deceased and the missing, the head of government specified that other modalities will be communicated in a future communication.
As a reminder, on March 9, 2023 at 3:58 a.m., the Esther Miracle ferry from the Royal Cost Marine shipping company sank off the coast of Libreville with freight and passengers, leaving 29 killed, 8 missing and 124 people saved.
Since then, measures have been taken to strengthen safety in maritime transport.
