The members of the Huntza team have special and emotional weeks ahead of them. It’s been almost a year since they said goodbye to the stage and announced an “indefinite break” and slowly the details of the last concert they will perform on February 3rd at the Miribilla Arena in Bilbao have been announced. Now, they have released the full list of “references, artists and friends of the Basque music scene” who will perform live with them. Thus, ETS (En Tol Sarmiento), Nøgen, Niko Etxart, Iraitz Aguirre, Ebri Knight, Stay Homas, Gurru, Iratxe Etxeandia and Trompi will be on their side.

These mentioned names will join the previously announced groups Maixa et Ixiar, Alaitz et Maider, Kristina et Amaia, Xabi Solano, Olatz Salvador and Tremenda Jauria in the last concert that will be “moving” for the members of Hunza, as it will close the ten-year cycle. They want to take advantage of the day to meet with them “from those who have been references from childhood to the artists who are friends and references today”. They also emphasized that it will be a special opportunity, because “many of them are retired today”.

It was created in a university environment in Bilbao and over the years, trikiti melodies and Basque have been brought to the corners of the Basque Country and abroad by Josune Arakistain (trikiti and voice), Uxue Amonarriz (tambourine and voice), Aitor Huizik (violin), Aitzol Eskisabel (guitar), Inhar Eskisabel (bass) and Peru Altubek (drums). Along the way they have released three albums, ‘Ertzetatar’ (2016), ‘Xilema’ (2018) and ‘Ezin ez espero’ (2021); With more than 30 songs and more than 250 concerts offered. International tours have given them the opportunity to travel to Japan and America, leaving an indelible mark on the Basque music scene.

The quintet has left songs that go beyond the group’s rich career, above all the famous ‘Aldapan gora’, the Basque song with the most reproductions on YouTube with over 14 million views.

The members of the group were very happy with the success of the tour under the slogan ‘As if it were the last’ and they thanked those who filled the square and the halls through a note. Among others, they have been at the Razzmatazz Hall in Barcelona, ​​the Slava Theater in Madrid (with the Nøgen group) and the Festardor Festival in Valencia.

It has been reported that 90% of the tickets for the Bilbao concert have been sold and the last ones are still available on Huntza’s official website (huntza.eus) and on the WeGow platform.
